As Shawne Merriman's head grows day-by-day, and the gaps between his chicklets expand while he waits for his appointment with the dentist to get fitted for adult braces, I have decided to start this blog, the "Blog Against Merriman-Probowl".

The giant corporation that is the National Football League has no shame in allowing a known and found steroid-user to participate in the annual ProBowl. This is the height of hypocracy and shows the incredible arrogance of the NFL towards their fans. Has there ever been a more glaring example of injustice and duplicity by the NFL? ... a player, suspended during the season for steriod use, is allowed to participate in and accept ProBowl honors...

The NFL Players Association is not above criticism as well, what with all of their talk and concern for the health of the atheletes they represent. I guess they would be too chicken-shit to say anything because along with ProBowl Nominations, comes performance bonuses in players contracts... afterall, who cares if a 24 year old player can't find a hat big enough to fit his ever-growing lid and has pre-puberty sized testicles? Hey, he's got a ProBowl under his belt, even if there are no balls...

Just as disgusting are the huge media outlets, that churn the hype about Merriman's "great success" this past year... lets be honest, the media will continue to spew this garbage because of their multi-million dollar contracts with the NFL.

Shame also goes to the "Fans" who voted for Merriman...

A loud round of applause goes to the Miami Dolphins Jason Taylor and Denver Broncos Champ Bailey who spoke the truth, not supporting Merriman's ProBowl nomination...

If you agree with this blog and feel as strongly as I do against Merriman going to the Probowl, please share this blog's link with as many people as you can... The NFL will probably ignore us, but that shouldn't stop us from speaking out!!!

As well please feel free to leave comments with your takes on this Merriman-Probowl joke...

The NFL is out of control! I have never seen such obvious bias in regards to how games are called as I have seen over the last 6 years.
The NFL can do whatever they want to control the outcome of a game and all they have to do is send out a lame apology letter to the fornicated team! So what! Big deal! you can wipe your ass with that apology letter for as much good as it does. I have been a die hard football fan for over 40 years and I'm just sick to my stomach over the hiarcy of the NFL!
HOW DARE THOSE BASTARDS RUIN THE SPORT WE ALL SO DEARLY LOVE!. Make no mistake that's exactly whats happening here. The NFL would be nothing without the fans and we need to rise up and scream at the top of our lungs: WE'RE TIRED OF THIS SHIT AND WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE! This latest deal with Merriman is just another form of bias. Do you think that Derrick Burgess would have gotten to go to the pro bowl if he tested positive for roids?I'll answer it HELL NO!

This team actually has two offenders: Shawne Meroidiman and... Luis Castillo. Castillo was made a freaking hero for admitting that he did steroids before the combine to get healthy... "So brave... so honest." Even though I am 100% Raider, I love L.T. - unfortunately I've lost a lot of respect for the guy: how can you claim anything about "class" when you have two guys on your team that are violating the one real stance you so-called "role models" have any real influence over.

I believe that merriman got his punishment with the four game suspension. I think a second time he should be suspended from the league for a season and on a third band. But i do not think you should be able to receive honor for your play for a year you tested positive for a ability enhancing drug. there are other players that missed out because of this. all you are doing is encouraging the use of roids. Not going to the probowl is not a punishment. Going to the probowl is a honor of play at least it use to be.
